Taratoa Stappard (Maori / Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Toa, Ngāti Tūwharetoa) is a writer-director from Aotearoa, based in London. He has directed acclaimed shorts internationally. His debut feature, Marama, a Māori gothic horror exploring identity, memory, and colonial legacies, marks a milestone for New Zealand cinema on the world stage.
