Suvi West is an award-winning Sámi film director and scriptwriter. In 2023, the Association of Finnish Film Directors named her Director of the Year. That same year, she received the Sámi film festival Skábmagovat lifetime achievement award. West is a Master of Arts graduate from the Helsinki Film School.
